Peace Edition
The United Nations has designated September 21, 2022 as the International Day of Peace.  As a humanitarian organization, Rotary has long held Peace as part of its mission as well as an area of focus.  Rotary supports training and education that promotes peace building and conflict prevention.  Creating social cohesion can transform conflict both in our local communities and around the world.  As the song says, "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."  Below are links to information regarding three peace building activities starting Friday, September 16 through September 23, 2022.  Please take a look and see how you might expand your knowledge of being a peace builder living in an International City of Peace (Sedona).

Pondering Peace
"You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom."  ~Malcom X

"World peace must develop from inner peace.  Peace is not just mere absence of violence.  Peace is, I think, the manifestation of human compassion."  ~The Dalai Lama

"There is "what is" only when there is no comparison at all, and to live with what is, is to be peaceful."  ~Bruce Lee

"If you are depressed you are living in the past; if you are anxious you are living in the future; if you are at peace, you are living in the present."  ~Lao Tzu
